Fans of a new Netflix Christmas film have been left in hysterics after spotting a massive error.
Starring Taron Egerton, Sofia Carson, and Jason Bateman, Carry-On follows TSA officer Ethan (Egerton) who is feeling disillusioned from his job after being turned down by the police academy.
His pregnant girlfriend Nora (Carson) urges him not to give up on his dreams, and so with a spring somewhat put back in his step, he embarks on his Christmas Eve shift.
However, while working the baggage scanning lane, his world is turned upside down when a mysterious traveler (Bateman) instructs him to let his suitcase pass inspection, or Nora will be killed.
The thriller has been dubbed the ‘next Die Hard’ by some fans, but one TikTok user noticed a bizarre blunder involving one young cast member.
A scene toward the end of the film shows a mum holding an infant while speaking to an airport worker, but in the next scene, the same mother appears to be holding an entirely different baby.
TikTok user FloridaFitBit shared the two clips to the social media platform, pointing out the drastically changing appearance of the youngster.
‘Baby – brown hair with booty socks, blue top with reindeer things, moms got the beige trench coat,’ he says while narrative the video.
When the next scene appears, he continues: ‘Look at that bald a** baby – that’s a different baby. Haired-baby – bald a** baby.
‘That child’s confused because he wasn’t in the last scene. They don’t even know where the movie’s headed.’
Fans of the film found the gaffe hilarious, taking to the comment section to share how ‘mad’ they were they didn’t notice the mistake themselves.
‘Finally!!! My people. Someone else who is annoyed by continuity errors. They are so easy to not have!’ Jonathan Russell said.
Others joked the first baby ‘went for a nap’, while another said they ‘went to get a haircut’ between scenes.
Alina wrote: ‘The Baby was like: ” I am NOT going on this Plane!”‘
Charity jokes: ‘The first baby said, “Get somebody else to do it.”‘
‘I literally just watched this an hour ago and now I have to wake my husband up because how did we miss this when we always look for stuff like this,’ Bethany added.
The tense, high-paced action thriller has received plenty of praise from critics which has landed it an impressive 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Some fans said it could have been a ‘Die Hard prequel’ while others simply lauded its intense narrative and particularly Bateman’s grippingly sinister villain.
Carry-On is available to stream now on Netflix.
